Craft & Hobby Association Announces First-Ever Consumer Show

23rd December, 2008

After 68 years of hosting the craft industry's most successful and prestigious trade events, the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) announces its first-ever consumer show, the CHA Craft SuperShow. This event will be open to the public at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, July 31 and August 1, 2009. The Craft SuperShow will follow CHA's Summer Convention & Trade Show held July 28 through July 30, 2009.

Composed exclusively of CHA member exhibitors from manufacturer, retail, designer, professional crafter and publisher sectors of the craft industry, the Craft SuperShow will be the industry's "must attend" consumer crafting event of the year.

"We are very excited to launch the show in Orlando and introduce consumers to the many new advancements in the craft industry," said Steve Berger, CEO of the Craft & Hobby Association. "While most craft shows only focus on one or two segments, the Craft SuperShow will educate and inspire crafters on a broad range of crafting projects. From knitting to scrapbooking and art materials, this show will give people an opportunity to explore their creative side and learn new techniques."

CHA will engage consumers to fill the 12,000 person daily capacity at the Orange County Convention Center. Thousands of people will gather to attend the Craft SuperShow to buy the hottest craft products and projects, attend professional-grade education from craft industry experts, witness and participate in product demonstrations from leading manufacturers and famous celebrity crafters, in a family friendly, air conditioned environment.

The Craft & Hobby Association is a not-for-profit organization consisting of about 5,000 member companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution and retail sales of products in the $30 billion craft and hobby industry.
