Seventeen years ago a small group of crafters set up a holiday craft show in a stately home in Beaver. What began as a small community gathering has now evolved into a major four-day crafters' shopping dream. "The Holly and The Ivy" is set up like a boutique gift shop. The organizers take great pride in achieving a festive yet elegant display of the 30 artists and crafters' wares. Only handmade arts and crafts are offered for sale.
"The Holly and the Ivy" is not just about crafts and crafters. Over its seventeen-year history, the show has accepted donations that have significantly supported the work of The Salvation Army and WTAE-TV Channel 4's Project Bundle-up. To date, "The Holly and The Ivy" and its customers have contributed more than $15,000 to the charity.
This year's shopping locations and dates are: Friday, November 14th from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and Saturday, November 15th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 550 Cherrington Parkway, Moon Twp., Pa; andFriday, November 21st from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm and Saturday, November 22nd from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Seven Oaks Country Club, 132 Lisbon Road, Beaver PA 15009.
